Kids LearnZ - Advertising Information & Child-Safe Ad Policies

Ad Network

Kids LearnZ uses Google AdMob, the leading mobile advertising platform, to display advertisements. Kids LearnZ is a completely free app, and ads help support continued development and maintenance. All ads are configured with child-directed treatment to ensure they are safe and appropriate for young children.

Ad Types

  • Interstitial Ads: Full-screen ads shown at appropriate intervals (every 5 minutes of gameplay). These ads can be closed by the user after a few seconds. They appear between game rounds, not during active gameplay.
  • Rewarded Ads: Optional ads shown after completing specific rounds (after rounds 3 and 7). These are non-mandatory — the game continues normally regardless of whether the ad is viewed.

Note: Kids LearnZ does not display banner ads. There are no ads shown during active gameplay to avoid disrupting the learning experience.

Child Safety & COPPA Compliance

All advertising in Kids LearnZ is designed with child safety as the top priority:

  • Child-directed treatment is enabled — AdMob is configured with TAG_FOR_CHILD_DIRECTED_TREATMENT set to true
  • No personalized or interest-based advertising — Ads are not targeted based on user behavior or interests
  • No behavioral tracking — No user profiling or tracking across apps is performed
  • Age-appropriate content only — All ads comply with Google's Families Policy and are filtered for child-appropriate content
  • No interactive ad elements that encourage unintended clicks or downloads
  • COPPA compliant — All advertising practices comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act

Ad Data Collection

Google AdMob may collect limited device-level data for ad serving purposes:

  • Advertising ID — for ad delivery and frequency capping (not for personalization)
  • IP address — for approximate geographic targeting (country level) and fraud prevention
  • Device information — for ad format compatibility

This data is collected by Google AdMob and governed by Google's Privacy Policy. No personal information from children is collected by Kids LearnZ or shared with ad networks.

Parental Controls

Parents and guardians can opt out of interest-based advertising through their device settings (Settings → Google → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalization).
